April 2016 update.
As usual I have updating the facebook catch blog regularly. Visitors to that page can see the fish we are catching at at what times of the year.
2016 has started off poorly. The NE monsoon that traditionally hits us in Oct until late Dec never came last year. I am told that this is not a good omen and it seems to be so. Mackerel numbers are down significantly and tuna almost not present at all. Mahi still biting as normal when trolling offshore. Sailfish and marlin were OK late 2015 but less of them around than normal at present. In light of this I have been trying to mix up the trips a bit – normally doing an hour or 2 of reef fishing just so the customer can actually catch something. Trolling livebaits for 7 hours can be very boring if nothing is biting at all – not to mention noisy, smelly and hot.
Conditions are very good now as of beginning April – water is nice and clear and weather generally very good. Pls contact me directly on firstname.lastname@example.org for any further info or to arrange a booking. Sorry there is no telephone bookings and info – email only. No exceptions.
