Weather and fishing have been excellent so far this season. Mahi are here in huge numbers and also bigger than average size, mackerel are coming on the bite, but a bit hit and miss. One day will be biting very quickly while the next day with identical conditions may not even give a single bite.
Marlin have been biting at the FADs, and also inshore nearby sandbanks and Nangyuan, sometimes even at the pinnacles. Adam caught this lovely little black marlin a few days ago with a trolled rapala just outside Nangyuan island. It was the second hit of the day with the first fish enjoying an early release.
Boat is up on dry dock being repaired. Hoping to be back in Koh Tao by the 28th March touch wood. I can arrange for customers to use an alternative boat for the meantime, pls contact me as usual.
